Welcome to the
Patient & Researcher Connection Site
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a wide-spread impact on the patient partners, researchers, trainees, and decision makers that SCPOR supports.

SCPOR's priority during this challenging time is the health and wellbeing of the individuals that we support and interact with. We recognize the urgent need to keep patient partners, researchers, trainees, students, decision makers and SCPOR staff safe. As such, we want to minimize the transmission of COVID-19 by limiting close contact with others at this time. Due to current conditions and risks associated with the COVID-19 outbreak, all physical SCPOR offices are closed until further notice; however, we will continue to provide support remotely.

With the support and input of SCPOR’s Patient Partner Advisory Council, SCPOR has drafted further information for our various partners and stakeholders, read it here.

Are you a patient or community member interested in research opportunities?

Are you a researcher interested in posting an opportunity?

The Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research’s Patient & Researcher Connection Site is a pilot project intended to link patients, families and communities with current patient-oriented research projects in Saskatchewan.

Here, researchers can post engagement opportunities when looking for Patient Partners to collaborate with on their projects. Patients can view available research opportunities as well as sign up for a weekly newsletter summarizing new opportunities.

"Patient" is an overarching term which includes individuals with personal experience of a health issue as well as informal caregivers, including family and friends. It may also include community/public representatives, individuals from patient organizations, and others who have experience with illness.
